Last Wednesday (June 6th), Dave got the phone call that he has been waiting for, for 8 months. It was a Lieutenant from the Tucson Police Department calling to offer him a job. It has been a crazy road that he has gone down to get this job but God finally answered our prayers. I was so excited that I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks. He is going to make an amazing Cop. He is following in the footsteps of my dad, mom, and stepdad, who were all amazing police officers and deputies. I know it is going to be a crazy road but I am so excited to be on this adventure with him. He is one of the most caring, compassionate people I know but on the same hand he is also one of the fiercest, strongest, mentally tough people I know. I am so proud of him for running hard after this job and and sticking with it when he easily could have given up. Congrats my love!! You will thrive at this job.
To celebrate Dave's job offer we had to go out to eat at one of his favorite places to celebrate, Cheesecake Factory. Just an hour or so before we left, we shot out a text to some of the guys in Dave's discipleship group. Over half the group showed up with their families (even the parents with newborn babies)! We had a good time eating and celebrating with each other.
