Although I was only in Tacoma for four very short days, I packed the fun times in!! Kylah and I flew into Sea/Tac on Friday evening (June 14) and left Tuesday morning (June 18). In that time we managed to surprise Ellie Watson at the airport, hang out with the incredible Watson Family, spend time with Courtney Manuel, go to Ellie's graduation party, go to Briet and Ryan's wedding, Celebrate Ellie's birthday, go to church at City Central, go out for a Father's Day lunch with Dick Watson and the rest of the family, make new friends (Hilary), see the Kessler family and their new precious bundle, crash a Father's Day dinner at the Showalters, eat pancakes with the Buskirks, spend some time with some incredible moms and their awesome kids, get milkshakes at Don's Ruston Market, learn a new game that I was way too tired to finish and last but not least, clean up vomit (a lot of vomit) just minutes from the airport (thanks Dick and John Michael).
It was an amazing trip to re-connect with some friends I have dearly missed. I am horrible about keeping in touch but when I saw everyone, it felt like I had never left. I love that I can be gone for almost 2 years and jump right back into people's lives without skipping a beat. Besides the kids being so much older and bigger, it felt like I never left. The weather was awesome and the company was great. Kylah did incredible being in a new place and having her schedule turned upside down. As long as she had her mama, she was a happy baby. The vomit at the end of the trip might have been due to overeating or car sickness. Thank you to everyone who helped make my trip so special. I loved seeing each and everyone of you! Someday we will be back with the entire family to enjoy friends and Tacoma again!
