The Collins Clan: Preschool 2013

My Callie and my Kessler started preschool this week. It was Callie's third year so I knew she was going to be a champ. Plus she is an extrovert through and through and super social. Kessler on the other hand loves to be at home and is more of an introvert. I was a bit more nervous for him to start. They were both super excited to go to school on the first day and when asked what they were looking forward to, Callie answered, "I can't wait to see my friend Grace." Kessler answered, "I wan't to play with cars." This describes my children pretty well.

The first day went really well for both of them. Callie re-united with some of her friends and Kessler got to play with cars. They both did great at drop off (no screaming, crying fits) and were excited to see me at pick-up. Day two, not so much. Kessler started telling me on Tuesday that he didn't want to go to school anymore. When Kessler gets his mind set on something, there ain't no changing it. I probably heard him say he didn't want to go to school about a hundred times before Wednesday rolled around. So.....needless to say, drop off on Wednesday did not go over so well. He pretty much started kicking and screaming when we walked out of the classroom. I love Ms. Shanda and knew that she would take care of my boy. He calmed down after a little while and enjoyed the rest of the day. We will have to wait and see how Friday goes???? Here are the pics from their first day;
