The Kids are Dedicated

It was a special day at church for us this last Sunday.  All three of children were dedicated during the service.  We had all of the grandparents there (Yama and Pa, Gramma and Grampa, and Papa) as well as Tia.  Although Dave and I have already made a commitment to raise our children in the knowledge of Christ, it is a cool thing to do in the presence of our entire church body.  And in return our church body then makes a commitment to come along side us as we raise our children.  That has already been evident but it is fun to see the public declaration.  Pastor Randy then prayed for each of our children.  I love that his prayer for them was personalized to each child.  He knows there hearts and their character and prayed specifically for the Lord to be evident in their life.  We are blessed by our church family and incredible relationships that have come out of Hope Community Church.  I know that our children will be taught the way of the Lord, not just by us and our example but the example of our friends and church family that we spend time with.

Prayer during the dedication.  Little Ms. Kylah cheesing it up for the camera!

Our children are blessed with amazing grandparents.  All five of them came from out of town to be there for their grandchildren.  Thank you so much for being there for us and the kiddos!

At the very end of the dedication,  in front of the entire church, Callie stopped pastor Randy and said, "Um, pastor Randy, I have a few questions for the church that I would like to ask."  My girl is not shy in the least.  She makes me laugh.  I am still wondering what those questions are?
